curated by the members of Project Playground,
filled with life and love by you.
Playground Express is a community-powered travel series. A literal journey across the world and to the motherlands of our community members. To explore cultures, expand our horizons, create unforgettable memories, and deepen the bonds that connect us as family.
Truly, souls don’t meet by accident; this idea was born together with our beloved Playground family members from Mongolia, Amina & Gigi — an invitation to co-create something meaningful in the land that shaped them.
After 3 years, now, Playground is on the move. We are traveling to Mongolia, following the whispers of ancient trade routes and the pulse of karmic currents, where the spirit of the steppe meets the vastness of the sky.
This is the first stop of The Playground Express: a seven-day moving gathering on a train across the Mongolian steppes. A place where rhythm matters more than schedule, where landscapes stretch from mountain to desert, and where ideas once traveled fast enough to shape the largest empire the world has ever known.

On board, the train becomes our moving playground
a vehicle for music, celebration, exploration and creation. Where we balance ecstasy, mindfulness and well-being. Where days and nights pulse with rhythm, ritual, poetry, and feasts are held against the backdrop of nature’s vast beauty.
The train carries us across the great steppe. When we step off, we dive into the land and its living culture: riding horses, visiting sacred sites, and meeting local communities. We sleep in traditional gers beneath a million stars, where firelight, music, and stories carry us deep into the heart of Mongolia.
The journey is for wild spirits, curious minds like you.
Travel
Travel is the only thing we spend on that makes us truly richer. We begin in Ulaanbaatar and journey ~1700 km by train across one of the largest, most untouched countries on Earth. From the silent vastness of the Gobi Desert—where we stay in a traditional camp under endless stars—to the wild north near the Russian border, we experience Mongolia in all its raw beauty. Along the way, we encounter wild horses, connect with local communities, and step into a culture far beyond the reach of typical tourism—blending cultural exchange, expedition, and the Playground spirit with music and workshops onboard.
Music
Experience music unlike before. Step into our playground where music transcends the ordinary. Immerse yourself in an eclectic diverse range of musical genres, each crafted for its own dance floors. Powered by bespoke immersive sound systems, our carefully curated lineup features the industry's most renowned artists as well as the talented in-house artists of the Project Playground Communitas. Brace yourself for an unparalleled, unforgettable experience.
Food & Beverage
Traditional Mongolian cuisines are consciously chosen and made with love to fuel our bodies. All meals from breakfast to dinners are included.
Wellbeing
We offer various wellbeing ceremonies and affairs, ranging from meditation, sound baths, sauna sessions and healing baths for relaxation, facilitated by our community members. Our care keepers (wellness pastoral team) will be on-site throughout the festival, ensuring the safety of our community.
Art
Immersive art will inspire us to dream and dive into the inner self and consciousness. A hand-selected group of artists from the Project Playground communitas and our friends will be showcasing their art and talents– artworks that will not only captivate but become an integral part of our shared experience.
Workshops
We believe in curating full-rounded immersive experiences where our well-being is at the forefront. True well-being is rooted in conscious care for both body and mind, and our aim is to craft a range of journeys that align mind, body and soul. Each day will begin with heart-opening workshops and self-exploration, transformation, offering a gentle start to the days to come.

When
Playground Express begins its journey in Ulaanbaatar on Monday, September 14 at 3:00 PM and returns on Saturday, September 20 at 12:00 PM.
